Often the key to unique opportunities is discovering who is doing what and i nteracting regularly with a circle of colleagues who are working creat ively.\n\nThis month focuses on Workspaces for Artists with guests fro m Dance Alloy Theater, the Brew House Association, and Artists Image R esource.\n\nOne of the core strengths of artist communities is the bel ief in the creative process and trust in the artist. One of the ways t hat this is evidenced is when organizations nurture this creative proc ess by providing workspace in a supportive environment for experimenta tion and innovation.\n\nOften artists who have spent years working in a more isolated environment find the conversation, collaboration, and sharing of perspectives between artists in a shared space stimulating. \n\nShared studio space can also be a practical response to the demand s of a specific art form, such as printmaking, glass arts, and digital media.\n\nThe \"Get to Know the Artist\" segment of the evening will feature Beth Corning, Artistic Executive Director of Dance Alloy Theat er. Dance Alloy Theater offers state-of-the-art workspace rentals for artists for auditions, rehearsals, and informal performances and event s.\n\nAlso joining the group for the evening will be representatives f rom Artists Image Resource (AIR) and the Brew House Association.\n\nAr tists Image Resource (AIR) is an artist run organization that integrat es the production of fine art printwork with inovative educational pro grams that explore the creative process. AIR creates learning environm ents for artists, students and the community primarily through Its Ope n Studio -- Open House -- Open Study Initiative.\n\nThe Brew House Ass ociation is a non-profit organization established in 1991 to provide a supportive environment for artists to live and work. Its mission is t o encourage community participation and create educational opportuniti es for artists and non-artists.
