 ic facing many families with sick children are varied and widespread. 
 Pennies tries to help in any way possible, so that parents can remain 
 at the child's bedside at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh where th
 ey are needed most. Since its inception in 2001, the charity has raise
 d nearly $1 million and has helped more than 16,000 families. The Fund
  is entirely selfdirected and managed, guaranteeing that every dollar
