 her upcoming release, Reverse Thread, on Saturday March 6 at the Pasqu
 erilla Performing Arts Center. The album is a celebration of tradition
 al African folk music with a contemporary feel, re-imaged for the viol
 in.\n\nTo achieve the uplifting and stirring result, Regina added an a
 ccordion and kora, the West African harp traditionally played by villa
 ge storytellers, to her longstanding rhythm section. Kora virtuoso Yac
 ouba Sissoko was brought on board to help recreate the spirit of passi
 ng stories from generation to generation. The result, unlike anything 
 previously heard, is a haunting and beautiful compliment to Regina’s
