DESCRIPTION:The Pillow Project is proud to welcome back jazz poet Moe 
 Seager to SECOND SATURDAYS! Paris legend and East Liberty native, Moe 
 Seager has been working with The Pillow Project both in Pittsburgh and
  abroad on collaborating his live poetry and the company's physical-ja
 zz. For this very special SECOND SATURDAY jazz-happening, Moe will be 
 joined by Hill Jordan on trombone, Roby Edwards on sax, and Craig Davi
 s on keys, as well as spontaneous physical-compositions by The Pillow 
 Project's resident dance artists. \n\nMoe Seager is a writer and music
 ian known for his provocative poetry and crowd pleasing jazz performan
 ces, and has published 3 books of poetry, several short stories and so
 me 20 stage plays produced in the U.S. and France. A Golden Quill awar
 d winner for journalism (1988) and a human rights award recipient (198
 9) Seager's career led him to Paris in 1991 when the French Ministry o
 f Culture published his epic length poem, \"Rio Escondido\". Moe is al
 so a commentator for RT TV, Paris. \nAlso debuting at the March SECOND
  SATURDAY will be the premiere of two new jazzed works from Artistic D
 irector, Pearlann Porter:   •\"The Long Now\" (creating a single mom
 ent stretched out as long as possible that is 'traced' in chalk to imp
 rint the passage of time)   •\"I need you to hold all of the worry f
 or a little while\" (an unspoken-word piece of transferring emotion th
 rough physical contact, literally 'wrapped up' in the words left unsai
 d) \n\n__________________________ The SECOND SATURDAYS jazz-happenings
  are The Pillow Project's original creation for igniting a new movemen
 t of live, physical-jazz in Pittsburgh... sharing dance, light and mus
 ic together in a truly unique jazz-lounge/performance-gallery atmosphe
 re. Every second Saturday of the month features an evening open to the
  public of ongoing improvisational performances, live multimedia exper
 imentations and honest, spontaneous, jazzed expressions of the moment.
