We have gotten the attention of the Kiwanis Club in Oakland, signed up 8 members on the Pittsburgh Jazz Network, set up a Meeting for Thursday at 6:00 PM at Westinghouse High, received calls from two Alumni who will volunteer to help the band, and three volunteers who signed up via different email alerts. We have applied to play in the African American Heritage Day Parade, and the Labor Day Parade. The band has no money, so we need to figure out a plan to receive donations, and the most important thing to get started is fundraising. Please volunteer. I am currently calling band parents and everyone is very interested. In just under 24 hours!
