Profile Information:

Pittsburgh Connection
I am a recrding artist and performer based in Pittsburgh and have been involved with the Pgh jazz scene and the Duquense U, Guitar faculty for 25 years.Recently I have been performing with My friends Bill Purse and Richie Muckle. I am also a published author and a Private Teacher and I continue to explore new and creative ways to pay the bills
Favorite Pittsburgh musicians/performers
Tommy Turk to Sean Jones. So Many fine players, no chance of choosing one.
Favorite Jazz Radio or media station
Tony Mowad does a great service to Pgh Musicians . Yoshi's is streaming live shows on their site which are terrific. Sirrius Radio's Real Jazz is also cool.
Favorite Pittsburgh Jazz Venue
I pretty much go with which one's are still open. Anywhere the right players get together is always the best venue. I think sometimes you have to create your own gigs to fill in the gaps.
About Me:

Hey, Jim! How's it going? I have been back since 2003. My dad passed away in 2005 and I have been taking care of mom etc. I am not playing as much as I used to, but it ebbs and flows, like the tide. I was jist alking about the time that me, ypu, Rich Scampone and Kurt Lorence played that afternoon gig and when it came time to eat, we ll waited until the other sat down....BECAUSE WE WERE ALL LEFTIES! keep in t0uch!

Just checking my e-mail in San Juan, and received your friend invitation; that one's automatic man, my pleasure. I am happy to see you here, and looking forward to working with you at Duquesne.
    Take care my brother.
