Soon to be the New Hazlett Theater ... watch for an upcoming jazz focus there!
About Me:
I work as an independednt consultant with several different arts organizations in the area and through working with City of Asylum have become a jazz fan. Great music and, as evidenced by this site, great fans!
We are always thrilled to have a new fan join us. Without fans we would have no reason to play. this network give the fan direct access to the artist and also provides great jazz music 24/7. Thank you for being here. Enjoy and make some friends. Also please invite some of your friends to join.
I work with an organization called City of Asylum/Pittsburgh and we hold an annual FREE Jazz-Poetry Concert. This year it will be on September 13 7:30-9:30 and will feature OLIVER LAKE, OLIVER LAKE JAZZ QUINTET and the FLUX QUARTET.
We are looking for volunteers for the event and to ride the musicians and poets to and from the airport.
If interested, please contact me here or at cityofasylumpgh@aol.com
Please see the description of the event under the events section.
Yes, Debi. I am a lifelong friend of Thad's. I am also a member of the Women of Visions who will be providing the visual art work for the MCAI event, so I will be there in that capacity.
Hi Debi! Thanks for coming to hear us yesterday! I'm glad to hear that you liked what you heard. Playing with me was, Keith Stebler on keyboard, and Randy Williams on drums. Please come see us again, and tell your friends. Did you get a chance to try the food?
Hi, Debi! Nice surprise to cross paths with you here!
I hope you and your husband are very well!
Let's stay in touch......and thanks for all your continued
hard work -- the event on Sept. 13th sounds amazing)

You are a jewel and you are right on point. I just heard that CJ's in the Strip just canceled their Sunday night jam session which drew a lot of people. The New Hazlett would be a wonderful replacement.
Hi Debi! Sorry that I took so long to get back to you. I haven't been feeling very well, and didn't check my comments. I'm definitely interested in your offer for the jam session. I will email you my phone number, and if it's still not too late, let's talk about this.
Mrs.Sciranka,
Could you re- post your" New Hazlett" information on the below link, I'm sure others( fans and artists) would like to hear this. If you wish I could copy& paste it there myself, with your name as author.
Would it be possible to set up a meeting with you at The New Hazlett Theater so I can give you all the details and possibilities with our Jazz Workshop, Inc. Outreach Programs?
Dr. Nelson Harrison is one musician I use for my Outreach Programs too.
However, I'm in charge of putting the program together.
Please give me a call so we can schedule a meeting as soon as possible.
