About Me:
I am a professional hockey announcer. A quasi-celebrity in Pittsburgh who is a frustrated/closet/shower Jazz singer. I have been following the Jazz scene in PIttsburgh since the late seventies. I really became immursed in the early 90's when the Balcony was Pittsburgh's finest jazz venue. I am proud to call many of Pittsburgh's Jazz musicians my friends.
My brother Dan is a very good rock/blues guitarist who once played in a band with Kenny Blake called King Solomon. My dad was an avid jazz listener and he is the main reason love music so much. I have an extensive Jazz record collection and because I travel for work, I have the privelege of visiting Jazz venues around the US and Canada. Nothing beats the Jazz scene in New York however. In 1976 I produced a Mark Murphy concert at Kent State University. I have always wanted to produce a Jazz record and will get around to doing so one of these days. See ya at the club!

Hi Paul, thanks so much for being at Molly Brannigans after the Pens game and listening to The Corned Beef and Curry Band. And special thanks for requesting to "Hear more violin stuff..." I hope you enjoyed yourself and will come back for more soon. Of course, my wife gave me hell for not introducing her to you as she is a huuuuge Pens fan and would have much more enjoyed talking hockey than listening to her husband play (again, and again)... BTW, there's always room for a Hockey Broadcaster and Closet Jazz Singer on our stage. "Scotch and Soda" anyone?
