About Me:

Sax player, producer and retired teacher based in the Washington, DC metro area. During my teaching career I won two educational GRAMMY Awards (Signature School). I have produced over 40 CDs for commercial release and have recorded or worked with artists of distinction such as Stanley Turrentine, Buck Hill, Ronnie Wells, Ernie Andrews, Rick Henderson, Allison Miller, Terell Stafford, Paul Carr, Kenny Reed and many others. For thirty years I taught public school and privately. My list of former students reads like a Who's Who in Jazz today. There are too many to list but a short list would include Allison Miller, Terell Stafford (student teacher), Bruce Williams, Jeb Patton, Adam Klipple, Ari Ambrose, Keith Ghion, Matt Rippetoe, Vincent Gross, Marvin "Slam G's" Hammett, Buddy Jordan, Kenji Shinagawa and Halley Shoenberg. Names not included are left off because of space and memory, not their importance to me, I'm proud of them all. I am a Vandoren of Paris Performing Artist and I have written many articles on music performance and production.
