So glad you joined the network. The photo show at Red Hot and Blue was a commissioned show for a limited space and 29 photos. We had to design something that represented Pittsburgh realizing that it was not possible to include very many people. We limited the show to 7 instrument categories and 4 photos each. You'll notice that the majority of the people are no longer with us.
Then we chose from the most world renowned that
I had pictures of in my files. There is no possibility to add to or change the exhibit without a new request and commission.
There were two other people involved in designing the show to match the decor and fit the space.
One of the main benefits of this network is that we can each post an unlimited number of pictures here and show the expanded fabric of the Pittsburgh jazz tradition. I'll post you with my next bunch of shots.
Hello dear, I hope all is well with you. Your brother Clyde told me that you no longer live in Pittsburgh and living in AZ. When I saw your name listed here, I had to say hi. One of my 1st paid gigs was on a show that Bill Powell put together witth you(aka Gail Saunders) and Little Willie Beck. I hope all is well. Take care.
