About Me:

Barbara Jean (BJ) (Jazz Vocals) and Ross Halliday (Guitar) Robin Gallaway (Sax) comprise a Jazz duo/trio based in New Plymouth, New Zealand.

I've been away from Jazz for ten years and now returning and enjoying the music I love. I enjoy experimenting with a Tune and getting into the feel of the music and love to play with the melody.

Ross and I are currently working on recording originals and hope to have those completed this year. Ross Halliday is an accomplished Jazz guitarist who can only be described as tastefully brilliant, with wonderful feel. Would like to get work in and around New Zealand in Jazz Clubs /Festivals, and cafe winery scene .

Arrangements and backing tracks are by Alan McPike from Scotland who is an amazing pianist and has wonderful arrangements.

I perform a genre of tunes ranging from Jazz Standards, Pop, Funk, Swing and Latin.
