I was born and raised in Pittsburgh. My father is Will Austin, a musician and arranger from way back who played with Stanley and Tommy Turrentine, and Chuck Austin here in Pittsburgh many years ago. My cousin's grandfather was Sellers McKee Hall.

I was born and raised in Pittsburgh. My father is Will Austin, a musician and arranger from way back who played with Stanley and Tommy Turrentine, and Chuck Austin here in Pittsburgh many years ago. My cousin's grandfather was Sellers McKee Hall. I played trumpet and was a member years ago of one of the few teenage bands (possibly the only one in Pittsburgh) that played jazz, with Ray Johnson, David Peters, Chazz Harris and Philip Hunter. I am a minister, adjunct professor and part time-photographer.
