My grandparents have joined up with a traveling group that will be making a trip to Pittsburgh and Phillidelphia next spring. Part of the group contract is that they must have short term health insurance up to a certain level to ensure that if something happens and they need heart…

Part of the group contract is that they must have short term health insurance up to a certain level to ensure that if something happens and they need heart surgery or something else that is pretty severe they will be surely covered. Seems to make sense to me that they would require some level of dental plan too as there are quite a number of things that could go wrong there too. Anyway, my grandparents are quite excited about the trip. This is there time to really begin to see the country like they've always wanted and somehow they've managed to maintain the level of finances they need to do it and still be able to cover their other financial needs in the midst of this economy. I've heard a lot of different things about Pittsburgh (one of my best friends was born in Pittsburgh and is still a die hard Pirates fan, God bless him! I'm a Yankees fan so I really have a difficult time relating to how he feels) in terms of the safety of the city but I wondered if anybody had ideas of things for my grandparents to do during there visit. Are there any places that are really cool to visit that are a little off the beaten path? They're pretty big history buffs and would love to check out anything history related. They also are pretty big into sports and would love to check out all of the local stadiums and tour them if that's a possibility. Her touring group has some plans but also allows for some flexibility so that individuals can pursue things that interest them. If you have ideas, let me know - I'd love to hear them.
