Another version of this Moody's Mood. King Pleasure (Clarence Beeks) recorded it first in Chicago around 1951. He actually learned the lyric indirectly from Eddie Jefferson who had been singing it around town for several years. the original lyric was written by Irving Taylor (Najee Hamid) of the Dancin' Demons when he was Eddie's tap dance partner in Chicago in the early 40s.
