"In 1976, a group of Boston artists banded together to create a unique family-friendly New Year’s Eve celebration focused on the arts. The concept not only caught on, but thrived. First Night celebrations are now held in more than 200 cities worldwide - including Pittsburgh! Children's activities, art, food, music (of course!) and a fireworks finale to top it off, all held in an alcohol-free atmosphere. It's a great way to ring in the new year! First Night admisson buttons are usually $8-$10, and they get you into all of the events with no additional charges."
