Hi! I have a question about a couple songs from the session last night..... what was the song that you played that James was singing on? A few of us were trying to figure it out. Also, did you play "better than anything" before the break? Just wondering....
Enjoyed your session - as always!

Howie, your response to Bob Karlovitz' nonsense that he called a critique was beautiful. I so wished I had seen that grouping of masters. Hopefully the cultural trust(or someone else) will do something like it in the near future and maybe a paper could get someone who knows something about jazz to cover it

    Love ya man
  • Janine Gilbert-Carter

Hi Howie, not sure if you remember me but you played for me at my family reunion at the Wyndam. I pray all is well.

    Hi Howie,
I had a great time last night at AVA Lounge!
The atmosphere was electric and artistic!

You and the band really swung hard!

I'm so honored that you let me share the stage with today's Pittsburgh Jazz Legends like Dr. Nelson Harrison, Sean Jones, and Jeff Grubbs.

Everyone seemed to enjoy each other and it felt like one big family.

It's really great that we can colloborate too, because we're musical directors of the two community music schools in Homewood.

Keep up the good work and Keep Swinging!
