For almost 100 years the Pittsburgh region has been a metacenter of jazz originality that is second to no other in the history of jazz. One of the best kept secrets in jazz folklore, the Pittsburgh Jazz Legacy has heretofore remained mythical. We have dubbed it “the greatest story never told” since it has not been represented in writing before now in such a way as to be accessible to anyone seeking to know more about it. When it was happening, little did we know how priceless the memories would become when the times were gone.
Today jazz is still king in Pittsburgh, with events, performances and activities happening all the time. The Pittsburgh Jazz Network is dedicated to celebrating and showcasing the places, artists and fans that carry on the legacy of Pittsburgh's jazz heritage.

As you know we are both heavily involved in the distribution of information through multiple platforms. Many of you are getting involved as well. In these next few posts I 'll be sharing info with you.

It's an event that I have attended many times in the past.
I always appreciate the real life convergence of government policy
makers, technologists, artists and just plain "thinkers" in attendance.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to attend in person, however I did remember
that they were going to have a live video feed for the conference on the
internet. So instead of attending in person I watched the feed of all of
the panel discussions.
I also used the Twitter website to document ("TWEET") my thoughts as I
watched.

I am still not convinced of the usefulness of Twitter for myself.
In many ways it feels like I am inside of a chat room all by myself.
However I know that I am not all by myself, because I have people
"following" me and sending me messages & emails in real time, while all
of this is going on.
I wonder how this might work if I "TWEETED" from a concert & provided a
review???
