Born and raised in Pittsburgh
Father had the first recording studio (1935) and made the first recordings for Errol Garner, Billy Strahorn, Eddie Jefferson, George Benson, and many great R & B Groups such as the El Capris, Del Vikings, Marcells, El Venos etc. My father also provided Hammond Organs to the Hurricane Bar and the Rendezvous Lounge for a most reasonable rental digit. Grew up hearing many great artists in his studio and got to hear some mighty deep organ groups from the mid 1960's on by helping move the Organ and Leslie into those clubs,

Hi George,
About 3 years ago when another monsterous weeklong flu was spreading through our local Pgh arena of life, I discovered an ancient cure from a friend: Garlic enemas! It took away my temperature and flu so quick I became a believer in Garlic Enemas! A long time ago Marco Polo brought garlic from China home to Italy and it changed that culture in more ways than one! If you have to look it up on the net for details you can ....or simply go get some garlic ( as little as 5 to 10 cloves) crush and boil it for 5 to 10 minutes in a big pot of water; wait til the new concoction "cools"; then using the "long flexible" enema tube encourage your large intestine to get moving at doing its job of cleaning you out! Animal virus can't stand the competition! Now if you also use your recording prowess to record your vocal duet version of "Maria, Maria, the enema queen of my heart" while doing this to yourself and your son; I'm sure there will be a market for this song: "down under" if not world wide. So in advance I want to demand my 10% royal fee for titling your new theme song.!...Your friend in health, Dr Bruce youtube,com/drfbm drfrancisbmarion@gmail.com
Greetings George, I appriciate your compliments and support of our work. I am listening to the tribute to Freddie Hubbard and looking at the discography list you sent out. VERY IMPRESIVE! It shows how serious a young man can be. Learning and doing at the same time, all the while having BIG FUN. Give me a call. Be blessed, Mensah
Hey brother, how have you been? It has been too many years to call the dates and places but our paths use to cross often back in the 'day'.. I was doing a lot of work with THE MEMORIES & MARCELS back then. And use to hang with Ritchie Merritt, John "Saber" and others when out paths use to cross. So nice to hear from you again. It sure was fun to see your photos and list of performers. They broght back a lot memories....Bill Powell, Sir Walter, Chris Sullivan, 'Sugar' Cane and etc. - Peace - Jerry Mellix
