U.S. musician Marcus Miller hurt in Swiss bus crash

ZURICH (Reuters) - U.S. jazz musician Marcus Miller was injured on Sunday along with members of his band when their bus crashed in Switzerland, killing the driver, police said.

The two-time Grammy winner was travelling with 10 members of his band from Monte Carlo in Monaco to Hengelo in the Netherlands when the bus crashed on the highway near the town of Schattdorf in central Switzerland.

Due to super storm, Sandy and a concern for the safety of our patrons and staff, we sadly had to cancel Monday Night Jazz @ Savoy featuring Shawnee Lake on 10/29/12.  Shawnee will be rescheduled for after the first of the year, stay tuned for actual date and time.

Hi everyone,  just wanted to let you know that, due to the end of daylight savings time in November, starting November 5th the hours of play for the band will go back to 5pm to 9pm!  Please mark your calendar!  Once again, November 5th starts the fall/winter hours for Jazz at Savoy (5pm to 9pm)!  (*Oct 29th with Shawnee Lake is still 6pm to 10pm).  Thanks.

You all are the BEST!  This past Monday (8/13/12) at Savoy was absolutely amazing!  The house was packed and the good times rolled!  Lou Stellute was on fire and of course, Roger, Dwayne and Max knocked it out of the park, so to speak.  Working with these amazing players was a real treat and having a great crowd of jazz lovers to share this experience with was priceless!  And as much as I enjoyed my night in the limelight, I'm more then happy to move back into the role of host for some of…
