Tell us a little about you....
I am a jazz pianist, singer, and composer in Toronto, as well as a Jazz educator, and member of the IAJE and SOCAN. I completed an ARCT Piano Performance Diploma, a B.Music in jazz piano and composition at Concordia Univerisity, Montreal in 1988, and further graduate studies in Composition and Orchestration at McGill University.
I teach piano and composition to adults, perform locally, write and arrange for recording projects,and enjoy all types of Jazz and Blues.
Influences range from Monk to Miles, Holiday to Horn, Gershwin to Ellington, Nina Simone to Gene Harris, to Stevie Wonder, to Joe Sample,
Ramsey Louis, Monty Alexander, Ernestine Anderson, and many more.
My new CD, " Brand New Day", of all original music was recently released on December 10th of this year. This collection of songs and compositions blends jazz. blues, pop, gospel and R & B.
