This group is an exchange for musicians looking for work, employers looking for musicians, agencies, managers, PR announcements, etc. Let's create our own marketplace for Pittsburgh Jazz.
Best in the 'Burgh was founded in March 2008 by London, England’s Joel Lindsey and Pittsburgh native, Amy Schier, as a way to draw together the area’s most talented singer-songwriters on one stage, while also raising money for local charities. Monthly showcases at the Cabaret at Theater Square and Connections in Oakland feature familiar Pittsburgh favorites alongside the region's freshest young talent. Past performers include Bob Banerjee, Mark Dignam, Ben Hardt, Joy Ike, Bill Toms and Brad Yoder. Now an established name among solo artists, Best in the ‘Burgh is excited to support the talents of local bands through its new event, Battle for Best Band in the ‘Burgh.
